Portable server

  • Update bundles Adobe Flash Player installers to version to 25.0.0.171

This release fixed some minor issues

Fixed Issues:

  • Instant wizards for brainstorm, discussion or presentation tools did not save the phone conference settings

This is an update to support FlashPlayer 25

This release introduces a new feature 'timestamps' for brainstorm, discussion and presentation.

New Features:

  • Timestamps

The host can track the time when users participate by displaying timestamps for comments and ideas in brainstorm or discussion or presentation tools.  The timestamp settings are available in the view tab (enable advanced settings to see the view tab).

  • a deleted rating keept in trash could cause wrong display in settings of remaining ratings
  • a deleted rating keept in trash could cause the rating progress panel of a matrix rating to appear empty
  • a deleted rating keept in trash could be restored into an active matrix rating and could cause irregular rating results

MeetingSphere Connect

  • Host was unable invite a user to an authenticated session, if the host was already connected with that user and the users MeetingSphere URL had a different domain name

Fixed Issues:

  • Import of a matrix rating with custom named result tables now did not use the custom name for the single result tables.
  • For a rating with folder where the single table had folders on and the multi table did not show folders, the items where shown in wrong order when switching from the single table to the multi table.

This release improves the general performance in the discussion and brainstorm tools

Improved Features:

  • Improved performance for multi-user discussions/brainstorms with a lot of ongoing commenting in combination with the focus feature

Fixed Issues:

  • Export session did not export the flags for whether or not to show the 'the session' panel and the chat

This release fixes some minor issues, introduces Captcha protection for password reset and gives administrators of Enterprise MeetingSphere servers more detailed security settings.

Security and Compliance Enhancements:

  • Higher access restrictions for reading user details.
  • Resetting a password now requires to solve a captcha
  • On Enterprise MeetingSpheres administrators can no require that all authenticated user have to setup secrutity questions which will be ask when a user needs to reset the password
  • Added file type black and white listing options. On Enterprise MeetingSpheres this can be configured on MeetingSphere Connect the default black list is active.

Fixed Issues:

  • Chart filter by folder showed the uncategorized folder even if at was renamed
  • Chart in report did not show the correct colors on the second chart graphics if items where imported with source numbering
  • Sending invitations in an active session with personal link did not include the personal link

This release fixed some minor issues.

Fixed Issues:

  • Anytime agenda stages with dates around 1970's had revented import of a session file
  • Entering a session as a reader (read-only mode) was not possible while the host was in the session setup

This release fixed some minor issues.

Usability Enhancements:

  • Previously importing a session from one MeetingSphere with users which have a regular user account into another MeetingSphere automatically sent login credentials to these users for for the target MeetingSphere. Now the credentials will only be send on invitation to a meeting which require  access credentials or when they become a host or administrator.
  • Adding a user in to the user database for an authenticated session will no longer send login credentials on adding the user. The invitation will only be send on confirming that user's invitation (and only if the session is already published or active).

Security and Compliance Enhancements:

  • Cipher suites which use Triple-DES (3DES) are now disabled per default

This release mainly fixes issues in MeetingSphere Connect (Cloud).

Fixed Issues:

General

  • Comments in report are not ordered like in the tool
  • Prompts not in correct order for new ideas
  • Copy participant agenda to clipboard always shows the tools in the order they where added to the agenda but not the order they are actually in.

MeetingSphere Connect

  • Co-Host can now enter a session read only while host is online
  • Co-Host can enter a session while host is in it
  • Canceled session still shown in Co-Host tab

Enterprise Server (Linux)

  • Monitor agent is no longer running in the background

This release fixed some minor issues.

New Features:

MeetingSphere Connect (Cloud)

  • Trial users can now connect to other users

Fixed Issues:

  • Sticker bar now shows correct number for strickers restored from the trash can
  • Getting started video froze after 3 minutes
  • Create new session from template was not shown if only sample templates existed

MeetingSphere Connect (Cloud)

  • Search for connection to new users is now case-insensitive

The major new feature for this release is MyMeetingSphere being upgraded to MeetingSphere Connect (cloud).  

Fixed Issues:

  • Select all (CTRL+A) is now working in trash can
  • My Templates where not displayed in 3.0.19 when they where sorted by edit date prior to 3.0.19
  • Create session from existing included all tools regardless of "include tools" check box
  • Results: Sort in result table for a scale rating was not possible when scale details are hidden.
  • Rating: Undo in rank order could mess up the numbers
  • Chart: team filter not updated when a team is deleted
  • Presentation: Changing teams in presenter failed when deleting existing teams
  • Presentation: Comments could not be copied
  • Brainstorm: sticky point settings could not be saved when only folders as targets was selected
  • Brainstorm: copy from a named to a team brainstorm allowed the original author to edit a comment in copy target
  • Brainstorm: importing into a team brainstorm as a specific team showed the wrong team for ideas
  • Stickers cannot be dropped on restored items
  • (known issue: for child items of deleted items this is still the case)
  • User profile: Personalized mail settings could get lost when the user profile was saved
  • WelcomeScreen: uploading a new global default wallpaper was not possible

 Enterprise MeetingSphere

  •    User administration subscription view cannot be opened when all subscriptions expired

This release fixed installation issue for On-premises Enterprise MeetingSphere Server on Windows (no further changed to 3.0.19).

This release introduces the MeetingSphere iPad app for participants and fixes several issues.

Usability Enhancements:

  • WelcomeScreen: if there are no started tools, participants are informed that they have to wait until the host starts them.

Fixed Issues:

  • Brainstorm: tool tips for long ideas in title of comment level
  • Brainstorm: participants could end up without input mask
  • Brainstorm: export to file did not respect numbering settings
  • Brainstorm: participants can open multiple folders again
  • Discussion: fixed keyboard navigation
  • Discussion: participants could end up without input mask
  • Discussion/Rating: paste items from a rating to a discussion where pasted twice
  • Discussion: creating a new topic and pressing enter while editing opened the previous topic
  • Import Wizard: did show artifacts from the previous import
  • General: read only users could get stuck in tools for which the host had not completed the setup yet
  • Matrix rating: Participants could not submit their votes if the abstention settings were different for different criteria (e.g. one allowed abstention the other not)
  • Rating result table: changing table threshold mode had no effect
  • Rating: A participant which took of a session as host and than participated in a rating as host was still listed as participant in the ratings progress display

This release fixes several issues.

Usability Enhancements:

  • Participant can now cancel the team selection on entry. They will return to the WelcomeScreen instead

Fixed Issues:

  • Items which had been re-ordered were not always pasted in that order
  • Password reset panel on Chrome and Opera showed HTML code
  • Brainstorm: hosts and content editors could not open settings when in 'folder preview'
  • Brainstorm: pasting certain items into a brainstorm could crash the client
  • Brainstorm: option 'show only participant's contributions' in a brainstorm with tagging by team could display ideas of other team members
  • Portable Server: a lower concurrent participant limit of the Host account could prevent upload of a session with a larger number of participants
  • Portable Server: import of items could hang if external links were disabled administratively
  • Rating: Brainstorm folders with content could not be pasted to the rating tool as rate items
  • Result table: deselection of option 'show category column' could result in incorrect sorting
  • When more then 13 teams the team selection window did not scroll correctly
  • In open sessions if was possible that participants where listed multiple times and possible listed as online but where actually offline

This release adds support for Adobe Flash Player 19.

This release includes two security enhancements and fixes several issues.

Security and Compliance Enhancements:

  • Session handling now requires cookies
  • On Enterprise deployments, Flash Player can now be administratively restricted to the major current version

Fixed Issues:

  • ActionTracker: selection behavior became difficult in release 3.0.12
  • Brainstorm: pasting of brainstorm folders with content 'as folders' only copied ideas
  • Brainstorm: copy and paste in a brainstorm with 'tagging by team' failed if no team was selected
  • Brainstorm: pasting of 'uniform prompts' did not work
  • Brainstorm: paste option 'folders with ideas and comments' did not paste comments
  • Brainstorm: pasting of ideas with comments into a brainstorm with prompts did not add the prompts
  • Discussion: On saving settings after enablement of prompts, the 'prompts missing' alert was shown even if prompts existed
  • Discussion: Items could be copied to the system clipboard in wrong order
  • Copy and paste could fail to retain contributor tags
  • Drag and drop could fail in particular on touch enabled devices
  • Rating: options for numerical scale could fail to show the correct tool tip
  • Session report: option 'keep source numbers' could confuse numbering and coloring of charts in the session report
  • Session report: rating chart in the report could show as empty after rating was stopped

This release includes several changes and fixes several issues.

New Features:

  • Copying and pasting between tools now follows a different, more intuitive logic. Instead of asking users on 'copy' what they want to put into the clipboard, relevant options are given as they apply to the current content of the clipboard in the context of the target

Usability Enhancements:

  • Multi selection of items by participants is enabled only if required to exercise advanced copy & paste privileges
  • Items can now be deselected by single click instead of CTRL+click
  • When called by the subscription administrator from the toolbar of MeetingSphere administration, the MeetingSphere Store is now opened in a separate browser tab rather than in a pop-up window.
  • Security codes for 'Open sessions' can now be longer than 10 characters (up to 100 characters)
  • Brainstorm: Import wizard for importing from text now allows selection of the target folder rather than the root folder

Fixed Issues:

  • Brainstorm: the import wizard ignored the 'team' selected by the host
  • Multi-criteria result table: settings could not be closed unless a custom column was specified
  • Multi-criteria result table: coloring of custom columns was only possible if regular columns were colored
  • Multi-criteria result table: 'show sum' of rows or columns did not work after the settings of a single result table had been opened
  • Open session: the in-the-session panel could show users online after they had logged off
  • Presentation: changes to the order of discussion prompts did not affect all slides
  • Rating: attempts to delete the 'uncategorized' folder caused a strange alert message
  • Rating: hosts were able to 'undo' the last deletion after participants had been started
  • Session report: horizontal split of result tables could fail in DOCX reports
  • Session report: prompts and comments could show in wrong order
  • Session report: hierarchical numbering and team tags could be missing
  • Single result table/chart: adding a result table or chart was not possible while rating was in progress because the progress meter blocked access to the settings
  • WelcomeScreen: complex customizations of the text overlay could fail to be saved

This release introduces some usability enhancements and resolves several issues.

Usability Enhancements:

  • Portable MeetingSphere Server SCIF Edition now gives a specific instruction how subscriptions are maintained on that platform
  • Deletions require confirmation
  • ActionTracker: Creation of new entries to the specification and report logs has been simplified
  • Presentation tool: The Host is now warned when exiting a presentation with active discussion channel if the input box is disabled

Fixed Issues:

  • Irritating scroll bar in switch panel for multiple started activities.
  • Rating frame had wrong number after restoration from trash
  • Coloring for tool tips in chart did not match color in item list
  • Font size control did not work in charts
  • Clicking on an item in a chart did not select all items at that same location
  • In a matrix rating the instruction jumped on switching criteria if the main instruction of one of the criteria had two lines
  • Font size control did not work in rating instructions
  • An admin who is also a host could not access help pages in admin scenes
  • Users of Firefox 37+ on Mac were not able to type in MeetingSphere unless they switched browser tabs back and forth.
  • Stopping sticky point could leave option 'reset sticky points' grayed out
  • Restoration of uniform prompts from trash did not restore copied prompts
  • In brainstorm, sticky point and item numbers could disappear
  • In brainstorm the option "Participants may delete ideas" did not work correctly
  • Option 'copy folders' from a brainstorm was ignored on pasting to tools other than rating.
  • In brainstorm, it was possible to delete an idea without navigating participants away from the commenting panel of the no longer existing idea
  • In brainstorm, deletion of an idea could fail while other participants were categorizing ideas
  • Portable Server SCIF Edition failed to start from an encrypted hard disk

This release fixes several issues.

Fixed Issues:

  • tool tip on field 'new password' failed to give password requirements
  • function 'import template' produced a session
  • synchronization in brainstorm failed if a discussion had prompts
  • result table setup: drop down box was too narrow
  • result table setup: computed column was not offered as a sort option

MeetingSphere 3.0 is a major release with a new user interface and very many new features and improvements.

The release requires Adobe Flash Player 11.2, the recommended Flash Player version is 16.
